Metropolitan Police

FLP: Frontline Policing

Frontline Policing consists of the ERPT (Emergency Response Policing Team), SNT (Safer Neighbourhoods Team) and CID (Criminal Investigation Department). All three work together to deliver a complete policing service across Frontline London.

MO3: Covert Policing Command

Delivers covert policing operations including surveillance and undercover deployments across the Metropolitan Police Service.

MO7: Taskforce

Includes the Dog Support Unit, Mounted Branch and violence suppression teams. Supports public order operations across London.

MO8: Roads and Transport Policing

Responsible for traffic enforcement, road safety, tackling road crime and policing the public transport network across London.

MO12: Met Contact Centre

Receives emergency and non-emergency calls and coordinates the deployment of resources across London.

MO19: Specialist Firearms Command

Provides armed response capability across London using Authorised Firearms Officers deployed in armed response vehicles.

SO18: Aviation Policing Command

Provides armed and unarmed policing at London City Airport, including counter-terrorism patrols and emergency response.

London Fire Brigade

DPL Crew

Responds to fires, road traffic collisions, water rescues and other emergencies across London from one of the brigade's 102 fire stations.

Fire Investigation Unit

Investigates the cause of fires including suspected arson, often working alongside the police and supporting criminal prosecutions.

Urban Search and Rescue

The brigade operates 14 USAR units equipped for structural collapse, transportation incidents and confined space rescues across London.

London West (Fire Control)

Handles all incoming emergency calls, mobilises fire crews and provides command support to incidents across London.

Emergency Medical Technician

Responds to 999 calls, provides immediate treatment at the scene and transports patients to hospital.

Paramedic

Provides advanced clinical care at the scene of emergencies, including the administration of drugs and advanced clinical interventions.

Helicopter Emergency Medical Service

Air ambulance service operated in partnership with London's Air Ambulance Charity, bringing advanced trauma care to patients across London.

Hazardous Area Response Team

Paramedics trained and equipped to work in hazardous environments including at height, in water and in urban search and rescue operations.

Clinical Hub

Provides telephone triage and clinical assessment of 999 calls, supporting callers and dispatching the most appropriate response.
